SANTA SPECIAL SUNDAY 6TH DECEMBER 2026

Santa and his elves have been joining us for Christmas at Yeovil Railway Centre since 1995. Santa has written to us confirming he will be with us again in 2026! Your visit starts with a magical train ride behind one of our heritage Diesel locomotives in a festively decorated carriage. The elves will have been up early helping the train crew, preparing, cleaning and decorating the engine. If you're lucky some of the elves might even join you on the train!  

  It’s only a short train ride to Santa’s workshop where sacks of presents are waiting to be collected and brought back to Santa’s grotto ready to be handed out to children, who have been good, by Santa himself.
 
After your train ride you make your way into the winter wonderland of Santa’ grotto. Located in the ex-Great Western Railway Transfer Shed, where Santa will be ready to welcome you. All children will receive a present from Santa.
 
Our visitors love our multi award winning Christmas display's put together by our volunteers. It’s guaranteed to be snowing in Santa’s grotto here at Yeovil Railway Centre!  The children love to play in the snow and bubbles falling from above.
 
The Adult ticket includes a free mince pie and a hot drink.
 
Many of our visitors are regulars who come back to see Santa here at Yeovil Railway Centre every year.
 
After you have concluded your visit to Santa you may wish to visit the Shop (located on the platform) where there is a large selection of books, DVDs, Model Railway items (second hand) and much more.
 
We run 11 trains per day. 10.15,10.40,11.05,11.30,11.55,12.20,13.40,14.05,14.30,14.55 and 15.20. Please note that to book the 15.20 train you will need to select the “show more” tab.
